Terms and Conditions

Booking + Deposits + Payments:

All portrait session bookings require a nonrefundable retainer, equivalent to 50% of the collection total and a signed contract of agreement. Please note that the retainer and signed contract reserves your selected time slot and allows me the security of planning your session. All session fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the session. The only forms of payment accepted are cash, credit and debit cards. Quoted investment rates are only honored if the retainer was paid before any rate changes.  

Consultation:

Clients are offered a 20 minute consultation after booking a session. During this consultation, we will cover basic session information, locations, styling, themes and cover any questions that the client or photographer may have. 

Refunds:

Due to the nature of photography services, all sales are final. No refunds will be given. Clients will only be credited for all amounts paid. Credits are valid and can be applied toward future portrait sessions within a 90 day period. 

Punctuality:

It is very important that you arrive to your session on time and ready to begin. Our specific appointment time is set aside just for you. Please make every effort to be time so that you can receive our full session.  Being late or not ready to start will cut into to our shooting time. Showing up more than 30 minutes late may result in a forfeit of your session fee. Please limit attendance to those being photographed plus one to keep down distraction. No call, no show clients, all payments will be forfeited, no credits, no transfers, no refunds.

Inclement Weather: Rescheduling/Cancellations:

Adequate notice is required to avoid rescheduling fees. We can reschedule up to one time in the case of non weather related reasons. Rescheduling will be for the next available date.

Styling:

Making good choices in styling is a key element for portrait sessions. Select outfits that offer comfort and style. It is asked that you arrive to your session with clothing, hair, etc., properly styled and groomed. We will confirm all styling selections prior to the session for all that are being photographed. Graphic t-shirts, baseball caps, snapbacks, bucket hats, sagging and anything that may seem inappropriate or offensive is not permitted at portrait sessions.

Travel: 

Sessions that require additional travel will require a Photographers Transport Fee. The Photographer is based out of Baton Rouge, La. Sessions that require travel to the client and/or selected destination outside of a 25 mile radius will be subject to an additional fee of $25. Travel that requires the Photographer to travel outside of a 50 mile radius will be subject to an additional fee of $75. Travel over a 50 mile radius will be at the start fee of $75 and .35 cents per mile. All transport fees will be included in the clients remaining balance and must be paid prior to final image delivery. 

 

Turn Around Time:

Standard session turnaround is 7 business days. However, turnaround time also depends on the characteristics of the session, ie. if balances are paid in full, if we had to end the session due to emergency purposes and the Photographer’s current work load. Expedited editing is offered and with this service, images can be delivered in 4 business days for an additional $200.00 fee.

 

Final Image Gallery:

Final images will be delivered in an online gallery that features sharing and downloading capabilities for 14 business days. We ask that all clients properly download their images. If you need assistance with downloading from the gallery, feel free to ask. After the 14th day, the gallery will no longer be accessible. To reactivate the gallery, at any time, will be a $50 reactivation fee. 

Print Credits:

Print Credits are included in selected portrait packages. All print and product orders are to be submitted to the photographer and are ordered through a private, professional print lab. Printing fees for single and package image orders are available upon request. Print credits can ONLY be applied to 4x6, 5x7, & 8x10 prints. Canvas, gallery wraps, photo albums and flat cards are also available for ordering. 

Makeup Policy:

We have handpicked professional and dedicated makeup artists to provide our customers with quality service and makeup. We generally book with Kayla Franklin (Unique Glam by Kay (@kayla.jf) Upon her unavailability, the next makeup artist on our list will be selected, ask for preferred vendor list. The fee for makeup services will not be refunded, waived, or credited if you choose to do the makeup yourself or select another makeup artist. Crowned Photography will not be held responsible nor cover any fees outside of the booking deposit and total service fee, due to the client. 

Retention of Photographs:

After the portrait session, the Photographer will go through and select the best images from the session. Images that are not selected are not saved. RAW files are not released to anyone. Images that are selected for editing are kept for 90 days.

Client Follow Up:

Crowned Photography will follow up with our clients to see how our services were for them! We will send you a link for a survey and a referral code for you to give to family and friends! All referral codes must be used prior to the expiration date given to the client.
